NEEDHAM CLASSIC CAR SHOW

The first Needham Classic Car Show was held on May 20th, 2018 in the parking lot of Needham High School hosted by the Needham Exchange Club. When I was there I found it odd ... they had a nice group of cars even a few exotics but no Corvettes, Porsches, and just one old Mustang. These cars are usually well represented at car shows in the area. Was it the weather? Show was free to view, although donations were accepted. I suspect that the $50.00 entry fee and the need to send in photos and be "approved" to be accepted in the show kept many cars away. While there was a nice collection of cars there were many empty spaces.

GETTING STEAMPUNKED

On Saturday, May 12, the Watch City Steampunk Festival once again took place on Waltham's (MA) downtown common and surrounding areas. There were food trucks, performers, lots of vendors, and many amazing costumes on attendees. This year I want as a volunteer to help with handing programs and assisting festival goers. The weather was cool with some rain that probably affected the turnout...everyone attending appeared to be having a good time. Although, I wasn't there as a photographer I did manage to grab some photos and video with my iPhone. Always a wonderful visual event...if you missed it this year try and make it a stop next year.
