BLUE HILL CRUIZ NIGHTS

CRUSIN' THE BLUE HILLS

Story and Photos by Keith E. Jacobson

Blue Hill Cruiz Nights is a wonderful small local event. They Kicked off their season on April 22 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Canton, MA. A nice variety of cars showed up including one really cool motorcycle trike ... a Rewaco.

Built in Germany and purchased from a dealer in Florida this was the first one that I had ever seen. There was a nice assortment of cars and a great group of friendly people.

 MILE 19 ~ THE 125th BOSTON MARATHON

OCTOBER 11, 2021

TEXT & PHOTOS BY KEITH E. JACOBSON

The Boston Marathon is run on the third Monday in April. It was cancelled in 2020 do to the Covid epidemic. This year it was moved from April to October due to continued concerns about Covid.

On Monday, October 11, the runners were off blessed with good, if a little bit warm weather. The Day was partly cloudy with temperatures touching the high 60s. At Mile 19 by city hall in Newton (MA) the roads were lined with spectators cheering the runners on. There were water and Gatoraid stations on each side of the road and smiles were numerous on the faces of the runners and crowd. Well done Boston Athletic Association !!!

THE LINGENFELTER COLLECTION

THE LINGENFELTER COLLECTION

In August of 2019 I was lucky to have the opportunity to  visit the Lingenfelter Collection in Brighton, Michigan. A description from their web site gives a good summary:"What started out as five cars packed into a modest three-car garage has since grown into a beautiful collection of more than 150 unique cars in a 40,000 square foot space. It has been an amazing and exciting transformation. While the collection currently is not open to the public, it is available for corporate and charity events, silent and live auctions, and car-club specialty showings."Driving into their facility we were greeted by two ZR1s parked out front, cars driven by Ken and Kristen Lingenfelter. That was a hint of what was waiting inside. All the cars were beautiful covering the spectrum from a very low mileage Chevette, to one-of-a kinds, and exotics. A car-loving photographer's dream. So much to see and photograph. There are many outstanding cars making it hard to pick a few to show off, so here are a group of my favorites:
